Thanks for posting the pictures Andrew. I like the 11-01 more than the
other similar pictures but I think for me it is the contrast between the
stairs and the barren parking lot that makes the picture work well. The
stump definitely adds to the mood of the picture. I don't think the
picture would work as well with a longer lens. Thanks again.

Andrew,
having some foreground with a super-wideangle lens
always seems like a good idea, like the stump in 11-01
and the litter box (?) in 11-23. An exception to the
above "rule" is your 11-25 where there is no real
foreground, but the evenness and wide monotony of the
water and sky produce an interest of their own.
