I have the small booklet (somewhere !) which came with the unit and if I
remember correctly the range is quoted at 10m. For what I have used it for it
has
worked ok at around 3m (10ft), but I did test it initially and it definitely
worked at
around 10m.

I don't know for sure, but I have a feeling it uses the frequency used for
remote
controlled toys (27MHz ?), anyway I'll try to find the instruction manual when
I get
home from work tonight.
