Actually, without a film in the OM4 I cannot reproduce the malfunction.

Thanks Clint. I might have a look at the mounts, lens and camera and
see if there is any deformation or play. Of course, since this is the
OM4 that I dropped onto cobblestones in Trier some years ago, I might
finally have found the damage it caused...
