Sorry, Moose. I used SCSI with the Canoscan until I got tired of
having to reboot to use the scanner. Then I used USB1.1 until I got
tired of the image transfer speed. Then I saw Minolta's new scanner.
The scanning times that I remember with the Canoscan were with USB.
The SCSI card I have on my G4 (Adaptec 2906) does not support the sleep
function of the computer. Therefore it either does not sleep, or it
goes into deep sleep. I have not used the card for a while and I have
not had a problem.

So which was it, USB1.1 or SCSI?

The Canoscan had only an ON/OFF switch, so if the computer had gone
to sleep and would not wake up (a SCSI card problem on my computer)
