likely be a *lot* of people around you, *very* close.
Don't be so sure - remember that tourism in the middle east has
plummeted for several reasons recently. A work colleague of mine went
in December and returned with thousands of shots, most of which gave
near tourist free views of the relics even though he is not exactly
skilled with a camera. He said it was fantastic because there were so
few tourists around. He has a photo of himself and his wife standing in
front of the Sphinx without anyone else in sight!
Things might have changed a little now that little skirmish in Iraq is
over, but it probably hasn't picked up significantly yet.
