Best Blue Angels show hereabouts is at Whidbey Island NAS while they are
here for Seattle's Seafair. They put on a show at the airsta that is kinda
wild (flying a few feet off the ground while banked left or right, between
the hangars, at speed, etc. - it's LOW, it's loud, and it's fast!). The
show over the hydroplane course during Seafair is good, the full meal deal,
and is preceded by a couple days of practice over the Lake (Washington),
with flyovers of downtown Seattle as they regroup, etc.(the action away from
the Lake is almost as interesting as the maneuvers over the race course -
one aircraft going like hell to catch up with the others, etc.). It's a fun
week.
