Several years ago I was banned from that site because of a list I compiled
of names used by list members in auctions there. It was added to a website
and discovered by evilbay. Because of letters written on my behalf by list
members I was reinstated and able to return to my awful habit of buying.
Now I never use their name in postings.

Don't do as I do.
I'm a bad boy on ebay, myself. I had 2 auctions cancelled because I used
the word "not" in the title, followed by similar brands.
"Sony CD changer not Rotel Onkyo NAD".
I thought it was a smart thing to do because I've seen lots of other
people do it.
On the other hand, I've never spent more than 15 minutes at a time reading
ebay rules (across my dial-up connection!).
Anyway, someone complained, they took down the 2 offending auctions and
said, basically, "Go forth and sin no more."
That's cool. I live and learn.
