I came across the following in a recent Minolta mailing list. I guess
misery loves company. The thread continues in a similar vein to ours,
i.e., price of E-1, limited lens selection, not enough MP, being "stuck"
with a bunch of older, non interchangeable lenses. I sense an opportunity
to sell some OM gear to these folks. Here's how. Since OLY has now
entered the DSLR market let's assume that someone will begin marketing an
adapter to fit our lenses to the E-1. Then, we let the other listees know
that our superior lenses will fit a DSLR whereas their lenses are still
awaiting a body to be adapted to. And, finally, we direct them to check
out jonequinn's ebay prices to convince them that our prices, say 10-15 per
cent below jonequinn, are a real bargain.

Wow, even Olympus, who's basically dropped out of the 35mm SLR
market, has a DSLR coming up. Are we backing the wrong horse in
praying for a Minolta DSLR?
