Hmm. I'm not sure I trust Jessops that much anymore. They seems to be
ignoring the analogue user and switching most of their shops towards
digital (I know this is not completely true but ti seems that way). When
I have the ASA dial fixed on my OM-1n at Jessops they did a great job.
That was five years ago though.
Jessops also seem a bit suspect when it comes to selling second hand
goods. I found a 50mm Zuiko macro for sale in a local shop for #160
listed as verg good to excellent condition. I made the trip, waited in
the shop for 20 minutes to be served only to find out that the front
element was slightly scratched, black paint was flaking and missing in
places, the body was scratched and the filter screw thread was damaged
and dinted. The person who served me said that you wouldn't get a one in
as good condition(!) Two days later I bought one for #5 cheaper, used
once, in its original case. I think I'll be giving Jessops a miss from
now on. I guess it benefits the good shops though.
All the best,
Gareth.

Well I feel obliged to report that when I took an OM-1 to Jessops to
repair, they first returned it unrepaired and with a scratch added to
the focussing screen, and then returned it with a dent in the top plate
added and a note saying it couldn't be repaired.
Roger, I hope you made the point of telling Jessops that you had it fixed
superbly elsewhere!!
