These search strings give you different results:
OM-2
OM-2n
OM 2n
As far as I can tell, when you search on "OM-2", the engine only gives you
results where the "2" is followed by a space. That's why
you find
"OM-2"
but not
"OM-2n"
Sellers get around this by listing a subject line this way:
OM-2 OM-2n OM Olympus not 3 3T 3Ti
If someone searches either of those ways, they "find" the auction. In fact, if
they search on "3Ti", then find it too and that's
the whole point.
As a buyer, you can get around this several ways. You can do a search, then
create a "Favorite" for it. Then do another search and
create a "Favorite" for that. Next week, you'll have a set of "Favorites"
ready to go. It makes it much easier to keep yourself
out of trouble by not bidding.
When you're creating a "Favorite" remember to create it on the first page. If
you go to the second page of results and create a
"Favorite" there, your "Favorite" will always skip the first page of results!
Have fun but don't be too eager. There's a lot of equipment out there and as
people migrate to digital, there just may be a flood
of 35mm stuff available. Prices may start falling so never, ever think that
you have "one last chance" to buy a black OM-2n!!
