Well despite what Mike has said, I am impressed by the breadth and depth of
coverage of Mannheim's book - somewhat like an expanded
instruction/application manual for the entire range (as it was when
published). I would recommend a look at least - by library copy if you
can't find one that is accessible, price-wise.
For GBP15 + GBP3 postage (courtesy Amazon Market-place used books) I now
have one that seems new, except for a stained dust-jacket ... And the price
label on the back from a charity shop - GBP0.50!!! I am not sure if it is
such a bargain after all ;-)

... indeed it won't Jim - hence the reference to abebooks, as their 80 bucks
copies may turn out to be a (relative) bargain. When my 25 bucks copy
arrives, I wil know better!
