Have been trying out a 300/4.5 courtesy of Tom Scales, and happened to try
the lens on a body with a BG2 attached (OM-2S, Winder 2, BG2 w/M.Grip
Cord). It seemed to me that it was a whole lot easier to hold the camera
steady gripping the BG2 in my right hand and resting the 300/4.5 (tripod
ring foot) on my left palm, and then squeezing off shots via the
front-mounted release button on the BG2. Has anyone tried this arrangement,
and, if so, does it seem to help steady the lens when hand held? I am
finding the 300/4.5 to be a real challenge to hand hold, which I lake to do
sometimes... wonderful on a tripod, of course.
Thanx for any comments...
