Hi Jason, and welcome to the List. Is the camera overexposing on the
shots that you wrote about?

Similarly I triedto shoot a sunset recently and got exposure lengths of well over 30seconds, the results being 2 or 3 stops overexposed. Even accounting forthe aperture being stopped right down and including polarisers, ISO 100 film etc. these times still seem a little excessive. Most of the time the "Auto" mode performs admirably and in general I'm verypleased with the camera. It just seems a bit odd.Do you think I have a problem with the meter or am I just being stupid? I am very much a newbie to photography (and this list) so feel free to pointout my lack of understanding and naiveté.
