Here's a strange bird. 35-70 fixed f/2.8 true zoom imported by Kalimar:

It's described as a true zoom that doesn't require refocussing after a change
of focal length. That seems like a versitile
collection of attributes to me and it's not even huge. It even has a familiar
55mm filter ring.
Why would a no-name importer like Kalimar put their name on a fast, true zoom?
