Gary tested one. It appears to be of about the same overall quality as
the 75-150, but with a different mix of qualities that reflect lens
design styles at their respective times of development. It appears that
the 75-150 emphasizes resolution over contrast and the 70-210 the
reverse. Because apparent sharpness is strongly affected by contrast,
many may judge it to be sharper than the 75-150.
