I've found the 1-8 useless for short focal length lenses. Did you use it
with the 35-105 at the short end?

And DOM would like to know: How do you expect to get your wife to "buy"
the beautiful Russian bride? or did you get too many "extensions of one
sort or another" and hope to get your wife to correct that?
