Subject: [OM] Olympus Circle... ?
Today I was offered the membership of the 'Olympus Circle', a recently
founded club or association of Olympus enthusiasts. Or perhaps it
hasn't been founded yet, but will be soon..?
The membership, which costs UKP 15-20 per year depending on location
includes 4 quarterly issues of a small size (A5) periodical about
Olympus.
The membership form and accompanying letter have been posted in Bath
(UK) but were totally anonymous. Not one single name was in the text.
I take it that many of us have got this letter.
Anyone who knows more about this? The whole thing sounds so
commercial...
I wonder if the membership will be worthwile.
Perhaps one of the 'founders' is on this list; in that case let him or
her explain what value the Olympus Circle is expected to add to this
mailing list and the abundant web-based knowledge we already have.
