Yup, I've done that too. However, I still find it easier overall to put
the shift on the OM-2n and leave it on the tripod while I carry the
OM-2s around with the 24/2.8 looking for composition and spot metering
if needed. Of course, if I was metering with the shift lens, I probably
wouldn't forget to close it down.
Maybe some other shift users will chime in here on their own techniques.
