Malty Cafe would be fun, Jim. Let's just do it some Saturday! I used to
drive Malty Road from time to time (lived in Lynnwood for a time, as well as
Edmonds) on my way to Stevens Pass and the Apple Valley ("home").
Seattle proper might be more central for most regional members for a
get-together, and offers many places to choose from. The Longshoreman's
Daughter in
Fremont (close to Lenin!); the Still Life in Fremont ( ooh la la good food &
bakery!), Paggliacci Pizza in the U. District or up on Broadway (now THERE's an
interesting place - a parade outside every day!), Emmett Watson's Oyster Bar
in the Pike Place Market, many others, all over town. Belltown is hopping with
"hip" places these days, and is a convenient spot between the City
Center/Space Needle/Jimi Hendrix Experience Music Project and downtown for
visitors.
There's an aviation-themed restaurant of some sort over on Airport Way S., on
the east side of Boeing Field, too.
But still, Malty would be fun. A nostalgia trip for me! Don't duck, let's
do it!
