Yes I'm on dial-up and often get 5.5 Kb/sec (some downloads start at
15kb/sec or more); but the signin servers U-Know-Where run at 300-500
b/sec :-( when I try to connect.
Some people are on optical cable, some are on a system called jet-stream
but I'm not going to pay the extra for that, and some use satellite which is
fine as long as there is no cloud cover.
I tend to avoid large file transfers. I think twice about anything over 4MB.
