Well, that confirms what I worked through in my mind some months ago
when it was ( if I recall correctly), when Rich <Doggre@xxxxxxx> asked how
he could get more detail in the shadows when shooting (slides?) on a sunny
day, and I suggested setting the asa on the camera at ?1600 or something
fast, and taking a shot through a diffuse opaque white piece of plastic in
front
of the lens (ie; nothing to see but exposes very slight white in the negative),
then re-wind and take the (double-exposure) shot you want to.
Should end up a little like increasing the light level in the shadow when using
one of Adobe's fine second-line products.
The Bowens Illumitrans does this at the same time as copying a slide - but it
does it simultaneously using mirrors.
