IMHO Kiron's are the "undiscovered gems" of the third-party lens world.
Wonderful optics, beautifully finished, and cheap! I have the 28~105
f/3.2~4.5 as the standard lens on my OM-2n. I also have the 28/2, and a
Kiron 1.4X convertor.
I think Panagor is an alternative name that was used for marketing purposes.
I don't understand why, since it seems even less well known than Kiron.
Kiron made some of the Vivitar Series 1 lenses, and are reputed to have made
the "E" Series lenses for Nikon.
I think that there's still five days to go on the auction. The last five
seconds are the ones that really count...
