I always check the shipping cost before I bid. Some ads do not state shipping
cost up front. You can email the seller during the auction if you want to know.

eBay allows the seller to add in any arbitrary fixed "handling" fee. IMO eBay
has left open a abuse loophole that they should close. If the seller wants to
pad the profit, they should build it into the minimum bid price. The buyer
should always be only charged actual (or close to it) shipping costs, without
"handling" fees. Again, just my opinion. That's the way I work when I sell.

One seller charged me too much for shipping, which I protested (to him).
Neither of us have left feedback yet on the deal. I paid the bill, but, 89 days
after close of the auction I'm going to leave him scalding negative feedback.
