Yup, same way as any lens is -- you want to be at 1/500th or faster, but
given enough light/speed of film, that's possible, and then you should be
fine. It's easier to hand-hold than a 500mm non-mirror lens, certainly.
The only problem is that you don't have a lot of breathing room before the
camera runs out of shutter speed, so if it's a lot brighter than you
expected, you can get stuck by the lack of aperture control.
