I get reminded at least twice a month that the mortgage must get paid or
there won't be anyplace to store the camera gear I've acquired (or about to
acquire) . . . or shelter for us . . . or shelter the cat and dog that
depend on us for their care and protection . . . or . . . (list goes on ad
infinitum) . . . and that we'll all starve to death on the street or die
from exposure too (the "slippery slope" ploy).
Latest dent in the bank accounts?
New clothes washer . . . not just any . . . a front loader.
The 7 year old top loader's transmission was about to give up the ghost.
Being in a household without a clothes washer for more than a few days is
NOT a pleasant experience.
More grist for Jon Mitchell's mill . . .

Ah, I was kind of hoping you wouldn't ask that! The answers are (a) I have
the battery cluster in the handle, and (b) not many.... maybe only 2 or 3
- however the battery cluster I have is quite old and probably needs
replacing. Of course I'd love to get a separate power pack but that looses
out to new shoes for the kids/daughter wanting to go to university/family
wanting to eat food every week ......
