Here in Australia all the hiring now seems to be done by agencies
staffed by young people how would have no idea of what a
mainframe is, doesnt matter what the job is, they want you to have
your MSCE, even for an AIX position !
I was selfemployed and doing contract work for IBM & NCR but
gave it up to to an ex-wife who was making my life rather interesting,
more interesting than I need. Getting work was easy until about 2
years ago, and the local papers have also figured out some good
stories on employment agencies in Australia, and age.
Guess I could go get my MCSE but I have a strong aversion to
that company.
