In aperture preset mode, you change the
aperture on your lens and the lens aperture will stop down at the same
time. In manual stop down mode, you change the aperture on your lens
the lens aperture will be stopped down only when you press the DOF
preview button.
So, this means that, in aperture preset mode, the viewfinder will be
darkened according to the chosen aperture?
I understand that you are using the adapter in manual stop down mode, so
you do not have this problem. But OTOH, is it not too annoying in the long
run to have to manually press the DOF button every time you press the
shutter release?
