The other day I was cruising through some of my files looking
for slides to be used in a multimedia presentation. I came
across a picture that:
1. When taking the picture I saw that it was a "winner".
2. When I was sleaving the slides from that roll, I saw that it
was a "snoozer".
3. Every time I looked at that slide sheet I contemplated
tossing it.
4. When I needed a certain background shot, it was there.
5. When I scanned the picture it was "ho-hum" until...
6. It hit the screen!
7. Seeing it enlarged on the screen reminded me of what I saw in
the viewfinder.
8. It has wowed the masses on a 12 foot screen.
9. Enlarged and printed on 11x17 paper it is shockingly
beautiful.
10. A winner.
11. A portfolio stuffer.
12. Did I actually take that picture?
Moral of the story: Don't be too hasty to toss something from
the lightbox into the bin. Sometimes a picture has to "age
gracefully" or have a specific use before you "see" what it
really is.
