Lama,
When I sent the "survey" in, slightly tongue in cheek, there were only 8
postings via my digest mode (let's not go there again) e mails. Had I read
John H.'s kimwipes and chopsticks (sounds like something I'd order at a
Korean restaurant) and Nick P.'s feather solution I certainly would have
included them in the summary. As to the 4 or 5 that followed, well let's
just say that the imagination and creativity of the list members is
boundless. As for me, I now know of a lintless product that probably has
useful applications outside of photography.
After reading the suggestions and knowing that if some methods are bad for
my eyeglasses they couldn't be too beneficial for the mirror, I decided to
do nothing for now since the small amount of whatever it is on the mirror
doesn't show on the negative and print. I don't doubt that the methods
worked for the persons who suggested them.
As for the kimwipes, I ran a simple query on Google using only the word
"kimwipes" (quotes included) and came up with several places, including B&H
photo, on the first results page alone that will sell this product in
quantities more suited to an individual user.
Thanks for all the input. I guess that's some more evidence of the list's
life.
Gary
