Exactly. I've got the older one and use it with the 38, 80 and
135. I don't pay any attention to the marks anyway, so using it
with the 38 is not a problem. If you need to know precisely what
your subject size:image size ratio is, the marks are handy.
Otherwise, they don't matter. Just compose and fire away. Except
for the marks, the tubes are the same.
