My report -- Met up with Mike at the camera show... there was a bit more
stuff overall but not much Olympus... Still I managed to find a clamp-on
lens hood with Olympus markings; my suspicion that it was for a mid-'70s
Olympus rangefinder was confirmed when I got it hope and it clamped on my
35-RC perfectly... for $1 a worthwhile buy.
Mike's daughter is a pearl, and sure behaves well. If I were younger and in
any way in danger of having kids I'd want one like that... Now what she'll
be like as a teenager I'll leave up to the future <g>.
Thomas is younger than I expected, a worldly and cosmopolitan Zuikoholic...
and, as an indicator of his brilliance, actually had an extra battery for
his OM-1 when the current one died in mid-trainride.
Moose has 'the eye' for the surf and beach pictures. I've got about 200
'beach and surf' images, and the handful he showed best all of mine... its
not just standing at the end of the world and pushing the button -- I need
to try again.
A good time and great meeting was had; I wish Thomas a great return trip and
I hope he turns up around here again soon!
