That,s exactly what I do. Picked up shoe as a freebee on a TTL cord which I
bought for a song £5 / $7.50 :-) OM1n has OM-1n on top plate next to on
off switch and has motorwind connections on base. 3 contacts for hor shoe

I'm pretty sure mine is an OM-1 MD and not an OM-1n. Are there any
external distinguishers for the 'n'? It seems that the changes were
to the internals.
