You left one out: BIG slide viewer!

Schools bought these by the hundreds for "programmed education". You can now
find them in surplus stores. I got one for $30 (Bell & Howell Ringmaster).

If you haven't seen them, they're about a 16" cube with a Kodak Carousel
mechanism on the top and a rear-projection screen on the front. Most of them
also have cassette tape players.

For what?

Projecting is awesome, but rarely convenient. I use a projector in my classes,
though, so I spend about an hour a week projecting.

The Ringmaster is my second choice. I have client review my work before they go
away -- I'd rather they request changes F2F than get home and be disappointed
for some reason.

I don't bother with a small viewer. Seems like the worst of all worlds to me. I
sell them to my students to use for screening, though.

I use a loupe on an 8"x12" light panel when I'm picking slides out of a sleeved
page.

The nice thing about slides is there are so many ways to use them!
