Well, I'm a happy wimp. Spring came early and has been just georgeous.
Highs most days in the low-mid 60s F. Plenty of happy hours spent in the
lounge chairs out in the sun already. They are talking about some rain
coming thru in the next couple of days and we could certainly use more
snow pack up in the Sierras. The last couple of times it's rained, it
has poured down at night and cleared up for next morning; amazingly
considerate.

Around here crocuses, daffodils ,vinca are all about done as are the

Unfortunately today we are getting the worst weather of the year so
far 37F/3C rain and snow mixed :>( ...yuck! I guess that serves me
right for laughing at the people over on the mainland who got dumped
on yesterday while we enjoyed a sunny day. Welcome to spring in the
PacNW (US)
Wimp.
Last night the temperature here in Edmonton dipped to -35 Celsius,
with a wind chill of -45 C. For those of you not using SI
nomenclature, that's -31 Fahrenheit, windchill of -49 Fahrenheit. My
dogs are *thoroughly* pissed. After all, it's March -- we're supposed
to be seeing strong sunshine (which we are) and significant melting
(which we aren't) by now. They wanna be sitting on the back porch
basking in the sun, and waiting for me to fire up the barbecue, beer
firmly in hand...
