CDSH270 diode is a common replacement and very easy to find. I also use
schotkey diode 1N6263.
I just (yesterday) built a SR44 adapter according to this:
http://www.rolleiclub.nl/batt-adapt-US.pdf
I couldn't find Schottky diodes mentioned there, so I used
SD 103C - a widely available Schottky diode, with somewhat
better voltage/current stability than BAT 47. It costs
0.30 PLZ - it is some 0.06 US$ per piece :-)
Results are very good:
(OM1, adapter with silver battery SR44 type (Energizer 357HD):
EV Current Voltage Exposure error
2 16uA 1.42 0.1 EV
7 86uA 1.38 0.0 EV
16 530uA 1.35 0.0 EV
and then I discharged this battery via 0.15 A/1.5V lamp.
Results were completely consistent across whole battery
life, also there were no big differences between fireplace
neighbourhood :) (30 degrees Celsius), room temperature
(16 degrees Celsius) and outside (-10 degrees).
For myself I found a Holy Grail. Now I have to use other five
SD 103C diodes I bought also.. ;)
have a nice soldering! \;)
