Hi,
Veterinary clinics here in New Zealand use electric heating pads to keep
small animals such as cats dogs and rabbits in their holding cages warm.
Farmers use them to keep orphaned lambs warm while they are being
fostered in the house.
I have one such; 14 x 8 inches 35 x 20 cm. Takes the standard 230 - 240
volt supply; thin fibreglass with heating cable bonded inside, (about 5mm
thick and stands on glued "rubber" feet), standard cable with3-pin plug; 18
watts heat output.
Can be used also to warm plant material; for germination or propagation, and
they are also used for low-cost heating for churches. Just under the seats
etc.
