You do wonder whether Olympus will get left behind in other ways as
well. Both Canon and Nikon are well into image stabilization. The newly
announced lens from Nikon is exceptionally clever in making a fairly
slow, but small zoom practical with image stabilization because even
though it is slow you will be able to get a sharp image hand holding it
at 1/15 of a second. Even if Olympus builds a fairly compact DSLR it
may end up with an expensive, large fast lens that must shoot at 1/125
to get a sharp image.
