It could be done. The helical would be in the adapter. There
would have to be a different cam for each focal length. The
actual FL would need to be determined, as opposed to the nominal
one. The focus of the SLR lens would have to be fixed, possibly
by some sort of clamp. Alternatively, to clamping, some sort
of shroud could enclose the rear of the OM lens and clamp onto
the OM lens focus ring so that turning the lens focus ring
would actuate the cam. This would allow IF and CFC mechanisms
to work.
