I have been trying to teach myself photography, and trying to master a
few things; in this order:
1) Focusing
2) Depth of Field Selection
3) Steady hands
4) Picking the right film (for the situation) and understanding how the
film will act.
5) Framing the subject properly
6) Metering / Correct exposure
7) Finding the subjects
8) Using photography to get the message across...
I'm at #5 currently, muddled with #6, most of my exposures are
consistant and what I wanted them to be, (I now know when my meter is
being lied to by the subject etc...) That of course doesn't mean I know
how to choose the correct lighting....yet..
Any thoughts on the order I'm learning things?
