Ok, John, what do you mean by portfolio:

This sounds like a good strategy, and a good way to learn something. My
question is just how formal would this need to be? Does one need a
portfolio case, with hundreds of 8x10's or 11x14's, all matted on acid
free stock? (I'm hoping that's overkill for most people) And I guess a
shoe box filled with 4x6's from the local 1 hour lab probably wouldn't
cut it. I'm just wondering what would be considered a good portfolio for
someone in the "amateur but has aspirations" category, how many images,
and how they would be presented.
