There seem to be a lot of 'no-name' Korean/China origin 500/8.0 mirror
lenses around. The 'bay BIN's seem to be anywhere from ~$80 to ~$125 or so.
The Tamron and Tokina go for a bit more, then the Zuiko is about double
everything else.

Don't have any idea. I had a ??? (can't remember) 28-200/4.5-5.6 in Pentax
K-mount, and it was interesting to play with, but dark at all focal lengths.
I don't suppose the quality was too high, but I suspect for 4x6 snapshots it
would at least as good as a point-and-shoot with a long zoom range. I'd be
inclined to run a test roll for comparison at the extremes and a couple
focal lengths in between, then keep the one that looks better... I suspect
either one is worth $50-$100.

OM-'s of all sorts, and no OM-oney...
