The Tamron 80-200/2.8 is quite a beast to carry, especially with a Motor Drive,
which is typically how mine gets used.
I lug mine around in an old Domke F2 or F6 with no insert, which both have the
same inside dimension (but the F2 is taller). A small pouch or two will fit
beside the Tamron for a couple of primes. The F6 is an especially handy size
and typically houses my Leica outfit. Both have padded bottoms, and the F2 has
a wooden stiffener in the bottom under the foam.
When I'm working with this lens all day and it's not on the camera, I will
carry it in a Kinesis E280 large lens pouch, which gets hooked to a Kinesis
belt. (see

It's a great lens though. Check out this picture and the bokeh:

>Ok, I gather a bunch of you have this lens so I'm hoping someone can give me

>Ideally I'd like to be able to:
>* carry the lens with a body/winder mounted and the lens hood reversed
>* have space for another body and a couple small prime lenses (35 & 50)
>* be semi-weatherproof, since I usually end up walking around the city
