When I was in Boston I was told that using an indicator was a sign of
weakness. Whoever makes eye contact first loses.
There was a radio ad there with the sound of an indicator. The voice over
then said "If you know what this sound is, we want to insure you".
I drove there. I went through red lights, the wrong side of the road and the
wrong way up a one way street. Nobody noticed.

That's odd. I've lived here all my life. Boston is known for the rudest,
most aggressive drivers, same or worse than NYC. Slowing down to let you in
because of a blinker? Funny, must have been someone visiting from out of
state. ;-)
