I read someplace that the OM-3 was designed for 30,000 rolls of film. That
would last quite a while for most of us. I've never heard any design
lifetimes for other cameras. /jim

I bought mine new in 1986. While I don't run thru thousands of rolls every
year, but I do average about 60 rolls when I use it. It looks quite a
beater. I only had it CLA once. Seems to work great so far. So.... I
wouldn't worry about it. I don't know how long the electronics will last
though. Hard to imagine it still working, say 40, 50 years from now.
