I have experience with several Tamron Adaptall-2 lenses:
24/2.5: Awfully soft wide-open, very flare-prone. Difficult to focus due to
small focusing ring.
SP 28-80/3.5-4.2: Very soft & extremely low contrast wide-open. At the long
end, fuzzy corners, even at f/8.
SP 28-135/4-4.5: Good sharpness/contrast, but really heavy. Quite warm
colour rendition.
SP 70-210/3.5: Really good sharpness/contrast with, er, "peculiar" colour
rendition. Pincushion distortion. Large and heavy.
SP 90/2.5 (newest model): Beautiful pictures. Somewhat "plasticky" feel.
SP 500/8: Moderate contrast (typical of mirror lenses), nice colour.
