Not too sure about Olympus, which is why I bought an S2.
Olympus had the opportunity to really get market share with an improved E30.
Imagine, a 28-200 2.8 lens with better faster software.
Indeed a pity. This 4/3rds thing is likely going to go the way of betamax
if Olympus does not get off their ass.

Let me see. Announced the creation of a 5.1 megapixel system camera in
April 2001 for introduction in 2002. Snatched back in 2002. Prototype
due in Feb 2003. For sale when? 5.1 megapixels? Who cares? By the time
it is on the market, Fuji, Nikon and Canon will be ready to move or
will have moved on from 6 megapixels in their second line cameras.
What has happened to Olympus?
