A good suggestion. I've got a Phoenix 19-35/3.5-4.5. It's not up
the performance of my 17/3.5 Tamron, 21/2 Zuiko, et al., but it's
amazingly good for the price of $139 new. If I'm going out really
light when it's really light out, I take it and the 35-105 Zuiko.
One deal killer for you may be that it takes 77mm filters.
