I have this lens, and John kind of just didn't mention the coolest part...
Though not much bigger overall than a regular Vivitar 135/2.8, this lens
focuses continuously to 1:2 macro. Subject distance at that magnification is
about 15-18" from the front element. So this would be a handy lens to use
for nature closeups as well as overall short-telephoto work.
The construction is all metal and solid, its not a light lens... no plastic.
My test roll came out sharp and evenly exposed, and the closeup images were
good. Note that I didn't use the lens as a copy lens, so I wasn't looking
for distortion or 'flat field macro' performance. I doubt its as good as a
90/2.0 Zuiko, but it is 1/6 the price... FWIW, I paid about the same price
on the 'bay a few months ago.
