We surely *all* do it. They are engineered so well, they just feel 'right',
and you (we) can't help but handle them!
And then there is the compulsion to collect them - a kind of adults' trading
cards.
But I am unsure whether 'adult' is the appropriate word.
And I am also unsure whether Zuikoholism can sometimes mask outright
Zuikophilia. But that is a lie, I am really quite sure.
Which leads to the inevitable conclusion that Maitani was not just a gifted
designer/engineer, but also had a stunning grasp of psychology.
