Hi all.
I've recently picked up a Vivitar 28-85/2.8-3.8 vari-focus lens for my
OM's for a great price. It seems to be an okay lens and seems quite
fast, although I can't be sure of how good it is wide open. It had a
small problem with the pin that holds the lens to the camera being
stuck in a bit but some careful work with a jewellers screwdriver fixed
that.
So, can anyone tell me anything about this lens?
Its a Vivitar 28-85MM MC, 1:2.8-3.8, AUTO VARIABLE FOCUS, serial no
22122799.
Its metal and in excellent condition, not even any dust.
How does it compare to my Tamron 28-70, 44A, two touch 3.5-4.5, apart
from the obvious differences with variable focus, two touch and
aperture.
Cheers
Si
